Greetings! |
New CDC data shows suicide among adolescents and young adults increasing and also a leading cause of death. School nurses are in a position to change these trends.
Consider participating in "Plan, Prepare, Prevent: The SOS Signs of Suicide® Online Gatekeeper Training," a free continuing education module sponsored by NASN and offered by Screening for Mental Health. This module is for middle and high school staff members looking to deepen their understanding of youth mental health, and considering implementing an evidence-based suicide prevention program.
Thank you for supporting your students each day.
Beth Mattey, MSN, RN, NCSN NASN President @bmattey
