The week of October 5, 2015 marks the 10th Anniversary of National Health IT Week and offers a reminder of all the technological medical advances that strengthen the interaction between patients and healthcare providers. This also includes communication through social media, further demonstrating a great use of information technology. School nurses are using Twitter to share educational information to keep students healthy and ready to learn. If you haven't already, I encourage you to join Twitter and participate in Twitter Chats and Tweet in real time during conferences or events because Twitter really does reach across boundaries and hierarchies. Thank you for keeping the communication flowing! Beth Mattey, MSN, RN, NCSN NASN President BETTER HEALTH. BETTER LEARNING. ™
