School nursing practice is complex and continues to evolve. In the 21st century there are multiple layers to the emerging health needs of children. Student health and wellbeing are challenged by numerous factors including home environment, neighborhood, culture, and access to health care. NASN has drafted a framework for 21st century school nursing practice to help show and explain to educators and policy makers how school nurses work to improve student health outcomes. The framework will be discussed at NASN2015 during a session titled Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice and in the upcoming July issue of the NASN School Nurse. As always, thank you for all you do! Carolyn Duff, MS, RN, NCSN, President of NASN
