Jupiter (Florida) School Nurse Saves Young Girl's Life ABC 25 WPBF (Jupiter, Florida) Jupiter Elementary School nurse Holly Hoover was recently honored for saving a 7-year-old girl's life. The first-grader went to see her school nurse in February, saying her throat was bothering her. "When I went to take her temperature, she couldn't keep her mouth around the thermometer," Hoover said. "I quickly assessed her lungs and realized she had no breath sounds on her right side," she said. A chest X-ray would later reveal that she had a collapsed lung. The Health Care District of Palm Beach County honored Hoover, saying her intuition and experience probably saved the student's life. Access the story.
