The wellness of students is a goal of school nursing. School nurses know that we must continually advance our knowledge and skills to best meet the healthcare needs of students. New skill sets are attained through continuing education and through certifications. The NASN position statement, Education, Licensure, and Certification of School Nurses, outlines NASN's position on education preparation and includes a list of references to support this position. Access this resource to learn more. Thank you for being the best school nurse that you can be. Carolyn Duff, MS, RN, NCSN, President of NASN
