School Nurses: Supporting Education, Advancing Student Health

Welcome to March and National Nutrition Month. School nurses are well aware there are children in our communities who are food-insecure, have inadequate amounts of healthy foods to eat, and are often hungry.

According to No Kid Hungry, more than 16 million children in America live in households that struggle to put food on the table. The Share Our Strength No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need, through their Cooking Matters program, with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. Learn more at the Cooking Matters website.

Thank you for working hard to meet even the most basic health needs of students.
