During this fall season, please remember Election Day 2014, and exercise your right and privilege to vote. Our voices must be heard! Voting is one way school nurses can support the NURSE Act and the School Nurse-to-Student Ratio Improvement Act, to create pilot demonstration grant programs allowing for federal assistance to school districts most in need of improving their school nurse-to-student ratios. School nurse advocacy for child well-being is a standard of practice. Visit NASN.org for numerous policy and advocacy resources. "I am a school nurse, and I vote!" Let's raise our voices for students. Carolyn Duff, MS, RN, NCSN, President of NASN
