Pamboukes Named New Hampshire School Nurse of the Year Seacoastonline NASN member Barbara Pamboukes, a school nurse leader for the Portsmouth School District, recently received the prestigious 2014-2015 School Nurse of the Year award from the New Hampshire School Association. Her nomination form highlighted that, "Barbara has shown expertise in school nursing practice." Read this article. Salute to Nurses: Top 10 Area Nurses Receive Recognition for Dedicated Care of Those in Need Houston Chronicle NASN member Violet Clarke, a school nurse at Chavez High School in Richmond, Texas, is among the top ten nurses recognized by the Houston Chronicle honoring the nurses of greater Houston for their selfless contributions and sacrifice to patients. Clarke has been there for students, teachers and staff at Chavez for the past 11 years. Read this article.
As part of this same recognition, NASN member Lisa "Beth" Pali was selected by the Houston Chronicle as one of the Top 100 Nurses in Houston. Further, Pali received the Klein (Texas) Independent School District Ambassador Award for her significant contribution to public education. Pali is one of five Texas school RNs who is a NASN Epinephrine Resource School Nurse.

If so, the American Lung Association wants to hear from you. Their AFSI champion award recognizes schools that have established a comprehensive asthma management plan.
