Sullins Spring Auction
 Fine Wine Collection
We are continuing a coveted prize at this Spring's auction - a collection of fine wine for the beginner or connoisseur.  If you are looking for a way to support the Auction, we ask you to consider donating one or more bottles of wine for this popular Silent Auction item.  All the selections will be auctioned as a single, outstanding collection for one fortunate bidder.  So, choose your favorite or take an easier route and call Aulikki or Paul at Inari Wines http://inariwines.com at 276-821-9463.

These knowledgeable merchants have picked out a nice variety of wines ranging from $25 +.  No need to go anywhere!
Call and place your order today!
An auction volunteer will pick up the donated wines from Inari prior to the Auction.
Remember to complete an auction donation form, listing the value of your contribution(s)and turn that in to Katy Sikorski for gift credit.

**Donations from private cellars are welcome!

W-I-N-N-E-R .... WINNER!
The Sullins Academy Fourth Annual Regional Spelling Bee was held Thursday evening, February 6, at 6:00 pm, in the library.  Students from seven schools, including Sullins Academy, participated in the bee.  The Pronouncer for our bee was Mr. Steve Hawkins.  Our own Sydney Hill, a fourth grade student from Mrs. Jessee's class, was the winner of the bee.
This bee serves as a practice opportunity for students who are competing in the Scripps Bee in Knoxville.  As our school's Spelling Bee winner, Sydney will be representing Sullins Academy in Knoxville in March.

Sullins is Going to the Dogs..

Volunteers from www.READingpaws.org will be here throughout the month of February helping us celebrate reading month.  They are furry friends specially trained as Reading Education Assistance Dogs® (READ®).  Please let Ms. Stamper know if the animals may pose a problem for your child.  We look forward to meeting Cody and Snowy and all our reading volunteers!
IMPORTANT
WEATHER NOTICE

Sullins Academy will add immediately a ONE HOUR DELAY to its other alternatives for delayed schedules.  If, because of inclement weather or concern for "black ice," we announce a one hour delay, the Early Room will open at 8:30 and school will start at 9:15.  The new schedule will address both the concern for safety and the concern of working parents.

Big Hearts...
Congratulations to Collin and Connor Davidson who were the first two students to raise money for
Jump Rope for Heart.  Each year for his birthday, Collin asks for donations for the American Heart Association instead of gifts from his family and friends.  What a great example!
Thanks to all who are raising money for our
Jump Rope for Heart event.
