Board of Directors Update - October 2013
The Sullins Academy Board of Directors held its usual monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 22. The board first heard a presentation from SPA President Melissa Steward on SPA results thus far and plans for the remainder of the year. The SPA anticipates having more details to share regarding the planned spring fundraising event at the next board meeting. After approving the September minutes, the board also heard reports from the following committees: Audit, Advancement, Finance, Academic Affairs, Building & Grounds, Committee on Directors and HOS Search. Search Committee Chair Suzanne Senter reviewed the next steps in the search process and noted that she would be submitting a report to the entire community in that week's Friday e-newsletter. Dr. Ron Sykes gave a Head of School report. The board reviewed committee rosters and the remaining events on the board calendar for the year before adjourning.
