November is The Grand Foods Challenge Month!

We are holding a competition during the month of November to see which classroom can collect the largest number of Grand Foods receipts. The classroom with the most receipts will get a McFlurry Party!

This is one of Hubbard Woods' easiest fundraisers.

Here's all we need:

1. Gather up ANY Grand Food receipts from 2014

2. Have your children bring the receipts to their classrooms before November 26 (Thanksgiving Break)

3. Put the receipts in your classroom's collection envelope.

Hubbard Woods' PTO receives 3% of all pre-tax sales, so send in your receipts today!

A ZEN LIBRARIAN by Todd Burleson

"For you as a parent, finding the book that gives you and your child a mutual way of dealing with a life-event, a subliminal anxiety or the need to find an emotional outlet, is one of the best things you can do for and with your child."

Virginia Mallin, Little Parachutes' Resident Psychotherapist

Have you ever wished there was a way to start a conversation with your child about a difficult topic? It might be a relative who has died, fear of the dark, terrible table manners, or a food allergy. Well, I've found a resource that is going to help you with those challenging topics. Little Parachutes is a tremendous resource to help parents and teachers find books about difficult subjects. Check out the in depth article I wrote about this tool. You'll want to bookmark this one so that you can find it easily when you need it!
