Sherman Dairy Bar Opens for the season!
March 7, 11am.
South Haven is where they make one of the finest eating ice creams around - Sherman's. Grandpa Sherman started the business back in 1916. He had a small herd of dairy cattle and delivered milk with a horse drawn wagon from house to house around South Haven. The business flourished through the years as Grandpa Sherman passed the business on to his son Rupert, who in turn passed it on to his boys. One of the boys, Port, always had it in his mind to make something good tasting that would make people happy - ice cream. So in the 50s he started fiddling and fussing with an old ice cream batch freezer, trying to make the best ice cream around. Port wanted an old-fashioned ice cream - not one too light or too greasy. He loaded it up with natural flavorings - no need to cheapen the product by using artificial flavors. After he got it just the way he wanted it, Port started selling it, first house to house, then to ice cream stores and finally grocery stores. Meanwhile, Port bought out his brothers and stopped bottling milk stating confidently, "We'll just make good ice cream."

Friday Flight Night at
Paw Paw Brewing Company
Every Friday, 12pm-12am.
Try 6 of Paw Paw Brewing Company's beers for only $6! Premium pours extra.
Paw Paw Brewing Company was established in early 2010 by brother-in-laws Ben Fleckenstein and Ryan Sylvester, and placed in the small village of Paw Paw on the banks of the Paw Paw River surrounded by beautiful Wilderness. The idea behind Paw Paw Brewing Company was to create a place where the community could gather and connect with one another over a pint of locally hand crafted beer. In early December 2010 the door opened for business with four beers on tap, St. James English Mild, Black River Oatmeal Stout, Paw Paw Wheat and 2 Paws IPA. Many ingredients have gone into creating Paw Paw Brewing, but none more important than the community and the Paw Paw Brewing Company team.

The Crossing in Concert at Foundry Hall
March 22, 7:30-9pm. The Crossing have been performing a mix of traditional Irish and Scottish, as well as original songs and tunes, since 1984. Though all members but one are natives of the U.S. (Hilde the cellist is from Norway), their roots are in the celtic lands and their original songs fit with the old and living tradition. The themes in their music vary from pure story-telling ("Endurance," about Sir Ernest Shackleton who set sail for Antarctica in 1914), accounts of hardship and victory ("Niki," about a friend who was an immigrant after World War II; "I'll Take Your Promises With Me," about immigrants from Sudan) to setting Celtic prayers and psalms to music, along with ever-present, danceable jigs and reels. $8 member, $10 general, $12 reserved.www.foundry.org
