Oh Ye of Ladle Faith: Rotary Club's Third Annual Soup'er Bowl Jan. 30
|
 | Mmm, soup. |
Sure, you can turn soup into gold simply by adding 24 carrots, but financially-strapped college students need something more, well, substantial.
Here's an opportunity for all you consomme professionals to bring your favorite soup and a spirit of competitive fun to raise funds for Houston Westchase Rotary Club student scholarships at the Third Annual Soup'er Bowl. It all gets cooking from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 at Quillian Center, 3663 Westcenter Drive.
Don't beet around the borsch: to register a team or to sponsor the event, make it snappy like Alligator stew and call Robert Jaehne, 713-774-7878.
And hey - you might not like soup puns, but they don't broth-er miso much.
