"Mr. Scorpio says productivity is up two percent, and it's all because of my motivational techniques, like donuts... and the possibility of more donuts to come!"
- Homer Simpson
Well, any hope of getting slimmer in time for hanging out at the beach this summer has just been dashed - Dunkin' Donuts opened a new location in Westchase District with a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday.
The store, located at 10705 Westheimer (next door to Brookstreet BBQ), is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Founded in 1950, Dunkin'
Donuts has more than 10,000 restaurants in 32 countries worldwide. Currently, there are five Dunkin' Donuts franchises in the Greater Houston. The company plans to open 70 stores in the area over the next eight years.

WALNUT BEND ELEMENTARY ODYSSEY OF THE MIND TEAM
Congratulations to the fifth grade students from the Walnut Bend Elementary School of Environmental Sciences, who will compete in the 2013 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals Competition on May 23 at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program whose mission is to provide creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college.
The school's team is the recipient of a $250 scholarship from the Westchase District Community Fund to help with trip expenses.
Last year, the school's fourth grade team placed third and the fifth grade team placed fourth in the world finals. This year, the fifth grade team will design and build a stacked structure using only balsa wood and glue that creates an artistic representation of Earth. We wish them well!
