2013 Mission Trip Reports Due

Each year the RMC reports to the Western Jurisdiction on the mission trips taken to Volunteer-In- Mission projects.  In 2012, 58 RMC teams with a total of 922 volunteers donated 5,596 days of service to 23 international projects and 35 United States projects. These teams contributed $253,000 in cash to these projects plus another $67,000 of in-kind donations. We are helping to make a difference in our world! To date, only 17 reports have been received for 2013. We know there are more out there! Please contact Anita or Roger Williams at [email protected] or (970) 613 1521 if you need a trip report form or have any questions. Our deadline is January 31.

Legacy Fund Committee Accepting Grant Proposals - Due January 27th

The Legacy Fund Committee will be accepting grant proposals. The deadline is January 27. Guidelines and application are available on the RMCUMC website. For more information contact Rev. Stephanie Kidwell [email protected] .  The intent of the Legacy Fund is to provide critical funding for projects and encourage ministries that will make a difference and enhance vital congregations through new professions of faith, increased worship attendance, enhanced small group development, and active outreach in mission to the local community and world. High impact, innovative, and creative ministries are encouraged. Measurable results are expected in a timely manner. Grants for under $10,000 will not be considered. Some examples of ministries that have been funded are: after school program that already was reaching many community children, a thrift shop that the congregation was very involved in, a student intern fund, a food bank program, and a community service project of several churches coming together.
