For Treasurers

Employer matching gifts are a great way to increase your fundraising efforts, are you taking advantage of this opportunity? Make sure you ask your parent community to verify whether their employer has a matching gift program, and if so, to apply for those matching funds when they make a donation to your Chapter. Some employers will match more than 100% of their donation, and some will even donate dollars as a match to a parent's volunteer hours! If your employer does not have DCEF or your Chapter set up as a charity in their database, we can assist you with completing this task. Some employers are able to donate directly to your group, some will issue the funds to DCEF, which we deposit and then will write a check back to your Chapter. Keep in mind that the matching gift may take several months to arrive, but it is free money that you don't want to pass up!
