Whole Foods Renews Partnership with DCEF
Whole Foods Market in Highlands Ranch recently renewed their partnership agreement with the DCEF for the 2012-13 school year. As part of the partnership, Whole Foods Market offers DCSD schools the opportunity to participate in its Reusable Bag Donation Program.
Recently, the program helped Arrowwood Elementary raise nearly $1,800 for the school garden. The money supports Arrowwood's efforts to teach students about Colorado history through planting of native Colorado plants. The money can also be used for recycle bins and other green projects at the school. The Reusable Bag Donation allows shoppers to donate 10 cents per bag (the cost of the paper bag) when they shop with a reusable bag.
