A Note from your Executive Director
As I reflect back on 2012 I can't help but think of all the volunteers in the Ringette community who contribute an untold number of hours to ensure that our sport continues to flourish and grow.
My thanks and appreciation to all those coaches, managers and parent volunteers at the Community Club level, to our Local Association President's and the Convenors across our province, to the good folks on the Winnipeg Ringette League Council, to the hard working volunteers in our AA program-committee members, coaches, managers, to our on-ice and off-ice officials and last but not least to the MRA Board of Directors.
2013 promises to be a very exciting year for Ringette. On behalf of the staff and Board of Directors of Manitoba Ringette I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Be a part of the 50th Celebrations
50 years ago, in North Bay Ontario, Sam Jacks introduced to the world the game we all love. 2013 is going to be a year of celebrating that achievement and an opportunity for our communities to spread the word about the fastest game on ice. Ringette Canada is providing resources to Provincial and Local communities to help organize anniversary events. One major promotion that Ringette Canada is running is a Ringette Roadshow with 15 stops across Canada over a 30 day span. Its coming to Manitoba November 9th, 2013. The MRA will help coordinate 50th Anniversary events in our Province and work with our local associations in leveraging Ringette Canada's resources as well as coming up with some of our own unique ideas. We need your help ....we are putting together a 50th Anniversary committee and are asking for volunteers. Here is a great opportunity to become involved at a level where you can help promote Ringette provincially and encourage growth of Ringette in Manitoba. If you're interested in helping out and joining the committee, please contact the MRA office. Watch for more information on the 50th Anniversary in upcoming issues. |
