Explore More...Career and Transfer Services
Explore More on Saturday, April 13 will highlight the Career & Transfer Services Office and the many opportunities offered including:
Career & Transfer Services programs focus on identification and development of lifelong and individualized skills that are necessary for a successful career in a competitive global environment.
Career planning is a lifelong journey. Career decisions are among the most important choices that a student will ever make. The career planning process consists of assessing interests, conducting career exploration and research, making work experience count and implementing career goals. The Career Planning Booklet can get students started.
Many students plan to pursue their first two years of a four-year degree program at CCC and then transfer their credits and/or degree to a four-year college for completion of a bachelor's degree. CCC students transfer successfully to many colleges and universities throughout the United States. Also, CCC has formal transfer agreements, called articulation agreements, with a number of four-year colleges and universities. These articulation agreements indicate the requirements necessary to transfer smoothly from CCC to specific colleges or universities.
Are you undecided about your future career path? Explore More will offer an opportunity to complete FOCUS2 which is an interactive, computer-based career exploration system. A series of questions are asked about interests, values and abilities that allow individuals to identify and learn about careers that may be of interest. Specific occupational information such as skills, requirements, educational qualifications, and job outlook is available to print from this program.
Dr. Peter Fagan, director of Career & Transfer Services, will be available at Explore More to discuss a variety of tools to get you started on your future career path. For questions about Career & Transfer Services, telephone (607) 962-9228 or email careers@corning-cc.edu.
