First Day of School
Welcome Back Cavaliers! And Welcome Class of 2020!

Serra students were on campus to began the 2016-2017 school year today. This marks Serra's 67th first day of school.

The math department was already in full swing. Mr. Hadley, Mr. Duffy, and Mr. Kramer weren't going to miss an opportunity to teach on the first day of school. They might have even assigned homework on day one?
Welcome New Teachers
Amazing New Teachers Come to Serra

Serra continues its good fortune of bringing in dedicated teachers. They even have a funny side. From left to right above are:

1) Eireen Ty is our new Director of Campus Ministry. She received her B.A. in Theological Studies from LMU and Masters in Theology and Ministry from Boston College. She brings a wealth of knowledge from previously working at Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles and St. Finbar Catholic Church in Burbank. Eireen will also be teaching Honors Religion at Serra.

2) Lindsey Martin graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cabrini University in Pennsylvania, but grew up right here in the South Bay. She taught for 4 years in Philadelphia before returning to teach at St. John Fisher and Bishop Montgomery. She is excited to see what our school hold for her. Lindsey will be teaching Environmental Science, Biology, and Human Body System.

3) Christopher Kramer comes to Serra as a member of the Loyola Marymount University PLACE Crops. He previously attended Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he received his B.S. in Physics. Now on his PLACE Corps placement, he says Serra is "the best place he could have ended up." Christopher will be teaching Physics, AP Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus, and Algebra II.

4) Bianca Sanchez '09 is a Serra Alumnae. She went into UC Santa Cruz as a Sophomore because of the AP and El Camino credits she accumulated while at Serra. She received her B.A. in History, minor in Education, Masters in Education and teaching credential all in just 4 years. Biana is the 9th/10th grade Academic Counselor and will also teach U.S. History.
