Be Here Tomorrow Night
To See the Cavs in the Semi-Finals against Harvard-Westlake at 7:00PM in the Serra gym.
The Comeback, Cardiac Cavaliers did it again. They beat Grossmont 65-50 last Saturday night in the Serra gym. But they didn't have to come back this time... they led by a little throughout the game.
It was a close contest until the Cavaliers constant pressure, steals and fast breaks broke the game open in the last few minutes. The 3rd seed Cavaliers advance to the semi-finals of the State Division IV championship TOMORROW night, March 15 at 7:00PM in the Serra Gym. The opponent is 24-8 and 7th seed Harvard Westlake who upset 2nd seed Chaminade last Saturday. There was a good Alumni support at the game.....let's make this one great.

Lady Cavs Basketball
Four years ago the Lady Cavs won the State Division 4 Championship in Sacramento. For the last 3 years, the Lady Cavs have been competing in the post season in the Open Division and Division 1 against the biggest schools in the State. Saturday night, the Lady Cavs dropped a 69-66 heartbreaker to Vista Murietta at Vista Murrieta.
A special thank you to seniors #5 Brooke Bayman, #15 Brijaye Brackett, #21 Jenny Albano, #25 Daeja Banner, each has been a part of Lady Cav basketball for four years. And special thanks to seniors #2 Briana Johnson, #11 Lowendie Laporal, #12 Aaliyah Galway, who all joined the program as juniors.
Thank you to each of our Lady Cavaliers for being successful on the court, in the classroom, and being great representatives of the Cavalier Code.

Serra Markets
Serra's Marketing and Admissions Department Director, Thomas Stafford, is innovative and creative marketer. He is taking advantage of Serra's strengths.
Last Thursday, March 10, Ariel Williams-Scott '10 accompanied Mr. Stafford to the Optimal Christian Academy (OCA) in Compton to present to students and staff at OCA what it means to be a Cavalier. Who better to play a key role in the presentation but Ariel who is an alumnus of OCA as well as Serra. Ariel was able to reminisce with OCA principal Carolyn Dowell and pose for pictures with the OCA students and Mr. Stafford. Ariel is attending USC and currently works in the USC surgery department. If you are a Serra alum and have an interest in sharing your Serra story with students from the middle or elementary school you attended, please contact Thomas Stafford, director of marketing and admissions, at tstafford@la-serrahs.org or (310) 436-8315.
