Old Timers Night
On March 4 at 7:00PM, the Lady Cavs will be playing Bishop Amat at 7:00PM in the Serra Gym. For the Fifth year we will be introducing Serra basketball alumni at half time.

If you live in North Orange County and want to see Serra's Boys Basketball team in action, go to Cerritos College at 2:00 pm and watch your Cavaliers play Santa Monica High School.
Rumor has it that Bob Schneider, Serra's starting guard in '60-'61, will be in attendance.

Serra in The Super Bowl
"As a part of the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl, the NFL is presenting commemorative gold footballs to the high school of every player and head coach who has appeared in a Super Bowl, according to NFL.com." 2 Golden Footballs have arrived at Serra. One for Duke Ianacho '07 with Denver for Super Bowl XLVIII and one for Deon Figures '88 with Pittsburgh for Super Bowl XXX. We look forward to receiving Golden Footballs for Kris Richard '97 and Paul Richardson '10 as Seattle Sea Hawks in Super Bowl XLVIII. .

More Serra Football
Serra High School was selected the #3 high school in the U.S. in sending high school football players to college since 2000 by 247Sports. We are not 100% positive, but our graduates likely have the highest GPA's. We know that our Division 1 signing Class of 2013 had a 3.6 average GPA.
George Farmer '11 has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

Golf Tournament News
Brian Cooper '74 and the Golf Committee consisting of Austin Jackson '01, Shamira Sadler '00, JeJuan Stoot '00, Rob Duffy, Mike Almaraz '75, and Ron Shepherd '73. are off to an auspicious beginning. There is only room for 144 golfers in this golf tournament. We have 6 golfers signed up leaving only 138 slots left for the May 20th event.
Above is a picture of Brian accepting a gift from Carmen Arias of Gardena based Arias Pistons. Arias has been a leader for over forty-four years in the production of high performance pistons for the automotive, marine, motorcycle and aviation markets.
Notice to Serra Alumni Classes: We have one Gold Sponsor and are aiming for eighteen Gold Sponsors from our 62 graduating classes. More to come.
