Helping Idea

Ed Milewski '61 called to ask for  the language to use for leaving Serra a little money from his estate. Thank you Ed!

If you want to do the same,  talk to your financial planner......Language for general gifts in a will or in a trust:    "The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles, a corporation sole, for the benefit of Junipero Serra High School".

See Another Helping Idea, to the right, from Bryan Genez '64.

Please Pray

In memory of James Rose '64  who passed away recently.  Larry Valdez is putting up a legacy tile for Jim.

Please pray for Chuck Goebel '64 who is undergoing chemotherapy.  In addition to being a Serra Alumnus,  Chuck helped Serra and our students for many years.

Carpets

Is there an alumnus or parent who owns or works for a carpet cleaning company? If so, please contact Jordan Bozer at jbozer@la-serrahs.org or (310) 324-6675 Ext. 1012

 New Alumni Tiles

Joe McDorman '91 is shown here advising Paulo Castrejon of CEThomas Co. on placing the next group of legacy tiles.

Paulo is shown above making his measurements.

Above is some of today's finished work.

From time to time we get a request from those who live far, far away and want see their tile....we have taken an individual picture and send it to them.

We have taken pictures of the wall in 11 sections. If you want to see your tile, go to Serra's exciting new web page and find the Photo Album under Alumni or click on this link.

Another Helping Idea

The other helping idea is from Ed Milewski '61 on the upper left.

This from Bryan Genez '64.  Bryan wanted to know if Serra could accept a gift of appreciated stock. Yes, we can. Bryan is making a gift to the Alumni Scholarship and will be investing in the education of four students.  Thanks Bryan.

If you think you want to take advantage of this tax strategy and are in a position to make such a gift, talk to your financial/ tax adviser.  If you don't have one and want to see what the tax advantages are, call us, we know professionals who can assist you. Contact Jordan Bozer at jbozer@la-serrahs.org or (310) 324-6675 Ext. 1012 and Joe Cormier at jcormier@la-serrahs.org or (310) 324-6675 Ext. 1017.
