Dedication to Excellence
This years Dedication to Excellence Gala will be held May 2nd beginning at 6:00 p.m.. We are honoring PLACE Corps Director Diana Murphy and the role Loyola-Marymount's PLACE Corps has played in Serra's continuing success.
Father, now Monsignor and Superintendent of Archdiocese of Los Angeles High Schools, Sal Pilato played a critical role in bringing the PLACE Corps to Serra beginning with the 2001-02 school year. We may have a story about that in the Dedication to Excellence Program. Consider that his action resulted in 21 PLACErs teaching at Serra..............including an Athletic Director, a Principal, a Life Team Director and 6 PLACErs on campus today.
Below are more of the Serra PLACErs for the school years from 2006-2009. From left to right, Ted Dunlap, '06-'07, Christian De Larkin, '08-'09, and Jaclyn Torres, '08-'09.
If you graduated from Serra and graduated from Loyola or Loyola-Marymount, this is a must attend event.

Serra's men's soccer team was filled with underclassmen this year and scared the bejabbers out of the league. Coach Rob Duffy is on the far right and Coach Mike Pederson, a PLACEr, is on the left.
Serra's Lady Cavalier soccer team finished second in league play and advanced to the CIF. Watch them next year.
