WANT TO BE REALLY, REALLY PROUD? READ THIS
Dear Josh* and Coach Hadley,
Congratulations to your girls varsity basketball team and coaches for your victory last night. I was very impressed with your team and you out-played our team in almost all facets of the game. Even more impressive was the positive demeanor of your team and fans. I was very impressed with everyone that I came into contact with from Serra. Please share this message with your Principal and Staff.
Good luck versus Ventura and we are rooting for the Cavaliers to get to Berkeley and "win state!"
Yours truly,
Ray Moore CMAA
Athletic Director

Faye Villaroman Returns
Faye Villaroman '10 visited the campus on St. Patrick's day. She has graduated from Stanford with a B.S. in Computer Science and has begun her career at Microsoft. Faye is now the proud owner of an Alumni Legacy Tile and an Alumni Card.
We are scheduled to put the next Alumni Legacy Tile order in Friday, March 28th. So those who are considering a Legacy Tile, now is the time. To purchase your Alumni Legacy Tile go here!
Coach/Art Teacher Tim Boyer '70 is shown here with Fay. Behind them in the glass cases are some of Mr. Boyer's student art work this year depicting the Stations of the Cross. It has become a tradition that some of the best of the art classes work appears in the Dedication to Excellence Silent Auction. Those of you who attended previous Dedication to Excellence Galas know of the phenomenal Serra Silent Auction. The items are rolling in already........
If you wish to attend the Gala, go to www.la-serrahs.org and select 'Make a Gift" then Dedication to Excellence on the right or click on this link!
This years Dedication honors Diana Murphy, the Director of the PLACE Corps Program at Loyola Marymount University. Serra has been a beneficiary of this superb program since the 2001-2002 school year. The first three PLACE Corps teachers to serve at Serra are trailblazers Teresa Delgado, Michael Perucho, and Dung Tran, pictured above in that order. Michael is now Fr. Michael Perucho.
Lady Cavaliers Win Again
Tuesday night, the Lady Cavs left the crowd in awe in the Vista Murrieta gym as they roared to a 20-8 first quarter lead over the Division 1 2nd seeded Vista Murrieta Bronco's. The Lady Cavs finished with a 71-56 win. The defense was incredible to watch as they beat a team a little bigger at every position and just as fast.
The Serra Ladies advance to the Southern Section Division 1 finals against number 1 seed Ventura at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 21 at the Long Beach Pyramid. The Cougars are 26-6, finished 8-0 in their league and are ranked 21st in the State.
Wear your Red and/or Blue and go root for the Lady Cavs like these Alumni in the picture below.

Hemetians Nick Schouten '56 and his wife Nancy, an alumnus of San Gabriel Mission High School, and Muriettian Dave Reidt '58 came to cheer the Lady Cavs. Notice Dave's Serra button from 195?. They took the opportunity to pose with Serra's cheerleaders. That's Nick hiding on the left in the second row, Nancy's holding up the #1. Dave Reidt is sitting front row center and looks pretty proud.
