Career Day: A Success

Last Friday of January, Serra Alumni, Parents, and Friends come to campus to participate in Career Day. They are assigned classrooms and discuss the requirements for their field with the students. This year students were exposed to careers including airline pilots, flight school instructors, engineering, insurance, real estate, radio, banking,  law enforcement and public safety officers, politics (Gardena's Mayor Pro Tem was in attendance), medicine and many more.

Our keynote speaker was Dr. Ancel J. Rogers, MD, FACS.

Dr. Rogers is from right here...St. Eugene's '67, Serra '71 and then on to a Bachelor of Science in physics from Stanford and a doctorate of medicine from Harvard University.  His speech set the tone of the day.....hard work and personal responsibility brings success.  Please click the link to learn more about this Cavalier Immortal's career.

Dr. Rogers is currently in private practice, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at UC Riverside and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCLA. He is also serving as the President of he J.W.
