An Invitation

January 25-31 is National Catholic Schools Week.  Serra's Annual National Catholic Schools Week Mass will be held at 11:15 AM on Thursday, January 29th in the Cavalier Gym. All are invited to attend. We especially are inviting Alumni. We will have a seating area for you.

After Mass, for those who wish to see the campus, we will have a small repast available and take a campus tour.  For those who have not seen their name on the Alumni Legacy Wall, bring your picture taking device and take a picture. For those who want to leave after mass, that's okay too.

Please RSVP to:

The Texans Visit

Emerald Fatetuipapai '13 came to campus.  Emerald attends the University of Houston where he just completed his redshirt season on the Cougar football team and has a 2.8 GPA.  By coincidence, another Texan visited the same day.  Brian Buckmeyer, the Director of the Marianist Leadership Program at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, was on campus to bring information about the St. Mary's program to the Serra counseling office.

A Little Late and More Next Week

Good students and good teachers make good schools. Serra is blessed with both. Here is a thumbnail on 2 of Serra's newest and finest.

Rob Duffy joined us this year. He has a B.A. in Finance from the University of Scranton Royals and a Masters from St. Peter's University in Jersey City. Rob teaches Algebra/Geometry and coaches the Soccer team. Come and see a Soccer game.....check the schedule.

Michael de Guzman has a B.A. in math from UCLA and a Master's in applied Math from CSU Long Beach. Mike is a Marine Corps veteran of both Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Michael teaches Honors Pre-Calculus and Calculus AB and BC.
