Because Mr. Alfred Burke made his customary August trip to campus to deliver his annual donation,and pick up his Friend of Serra card. Here is Mr. Burke handing his check to Principal Jeff Guzman. Looking on are Jack Burke '73 and Bro. Norm Capinpin.
Mr. Guzman had never heard Mr. Mr. Burke's cheer. So Mr. Burke demonstrated a full throated "COME ON SERRA!!!!!!!" "LET'S GO SERRA!!!!!!" which rattled a few nerves and a few windows. Mr. Guzman has now heard the Burkean cheer.

Urina Harrell '12 is in her third year at Duke. Aaron Colston '10 and Dartmouth '14 is on his way to Duke on a fellowship on his way to a Ph.D in history.
