Serra Hosts Visitors
Thursday afternoon, Serra hosted 16 students from the University of Dayton, Chaminade University, and St. Mary's University, San Antonio... all Marianist Universities. Bro. Mark Motz S.M. from Chaminade, Bro. Brandon Paluch and Maureen O'Rourke from Dayton and Brian Buchmeyer from St. Mary's have been shepherding the students for a week throughout southern California including tours of the Union Rescue Mission, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, and many other southland facilities. Jacquline Torres, who runs Campus Ministry and the Life Team brought the visitors up to date with Serra's Campus Ministry and our guests spent a few minutes watching Coach Zac Bose '82 run frosh basketball practice. Bro. Skip Matthews '58 accompanied the group and he described some of the Senior Walk traditions. We won't repeat them here. Of course, none of them have seen anything like the Alumni Legacy Wall. After our tour one of the chaperons remarked, "I wish I could have gone to school here."
