Dedication to Excellence
Those of us who attended Serra have been blessed and inspired by many great teachers.
Mr. John McFarland taught at Serra from 1960 through 1966. Mr. McFarland is this year's honoree for Serra's Dedication to Excellence award to be held April 12, 2014. Save the date to honor a man who dedicated himself to excellence.
"Of all my teachers at Berkeley, Hastings, Harvard and the National University of Ireland, John McFarland was the best by leaps and bounds." Bill McCann '64.
The Serra Model United Nations Team
Led by teacher/advisor Brendan Reynolds, attended the Los Angeles Invitational Model United Nations Conference held at Mira Costa High on Saturday, December 12. The Cavaliers represented the pre-assigned nation of Turkey. Our Model UN team represented Serra very well. They will be back competing in Model UN conferences this spring.
