Massacre in Coldwater Canyon.
As the ol' country song goes, "that's a game should never a'been played." Serra 63, Harvard Westlake 7.
It was such a mismatch it was hard to watch. Massacre on Coldwater is almost too literal a description.
One good thing: the Cavalier Rudy's -- the guys who show up for practice with little or no chance to get into a game, the parents who see their sons' numbers sitting the bench 45 out of 48 minutes. They had a chance to play the entire 2nd half against the Wolverines. And, by all signs and on that night, they would have won on their own.
Show Down at Kretzchmar Stadium on DeMar Harper Field.
This Friday night, the Chaminade Eagles will take flight from West Hills for Serra this Friday, October 18th for its showdown with the Serra Cavaliers. Kickoff is at 7:00PM. Serra is #3 in the State and Chaminade is #10. Serra is #1 in its section and Chaminade is #2. There will be an overflow crowd...
So get here early and lead the cheers.
Homecoming is coming:
October 25th the Cathedral Phantoms will be Serra's Homecoming opponent. Make sure you get your Serra gear on and get to the North end of the track by 6:00PM where Joe Cormier '81 & Ron Shepherd '73 will be in position to help form up for the Alumni Tunnel for the players to run through and onto the field. We are planning a special event which will surprise all Serra former football players.
The Great Class of 1983
They enjoyed their 30th reunion Friday night, October 14th in the beautiful Serra Cafeteria.
Along with Zac Bose '82, Trent Morgan '83 and Jeff Lee'83 did a great job in putting the reunion together.
Coach McKenzie Hadley took time between girl's basketball tournament games going on in the gym to share a little about Serra today.
Patrick Copeland '82 and Kerry Boagni '82 joined the reunion. The 30 Cavaliers of '83 sang the Alma Mater as if they were still at Serra..........only better.

Dominic Smith '13 and the Mets 18th pick in this year's baseball draft is on campus working out and visiting his Alma Mater. Domo spent the summer at St. Lucie in the Gulf Coast League where he hit .305 and played at first base. Domo looks to be spending spring training at the Mets minor league Camp but looks forward to hitting against major league pitching. "My training at Serra is serving me well, Thanks to all the teachers and coaches at Serra." Dominic Smith '13
