By examining fossil corals found on the Seychelles, Dr. Andrea Dutton (UF) found evidence that global mean sea level ~125,000 years ago peaked at 20 to 30 feet above current levels, due in large part to polar ice sheet melt. More >

The White House has released a new flood risk management standard for new and rebuilt federally funded structures in and around floodplains. This new resilience standard will help ensure taxpayer dollars are well spent on infrastructure that can better withstand the impacts of flooding. More >
