| I'm thinking of summer |
Snow, Snow , Snow, More snow, more storms
I must sound like a politician, I keep promising an early spring, and warm weather on it's way, but not delivering. Just like you I also am sick of this winter, however I always find things to keep me busy, whether reading, playing my guitar, or writing my newsletters.
I was tempted to probably not put a newsletter out this week but I have to remind you all with spring in mind, this weeks focus will be on the Opportunity Works Auction. The Opportunity Works Auction is another great kick off to spring, where you can buy almost anything from lawn care, to baseball tickets, including an afternoon sail with Captain Ed's Sailing.
If you missed The Merrimack Eagle Festival last week, they are still around. The eagles are around all year long these days, you just won't have the advantage of the locations being pointed out, and the folks willing to share the telescopes with you.
You can see the eagle's anytime you like by parking at Eagle Island on Merrimack Street in between Amesbury and Newburyport, and walking to the water. The other suggestion, would be going down towards Plum Island to the Audubon building. The Audubon is great place to get some nature viewing Ideas and maybe look of their deck I am sure that they have telescopes to look through, plus it looks right over the estuary and Joppa Flats. There is extra ordinary wild life in the area, from eagles, and snowy owls, to coyotes.
Again I am going to predict better weather coming, so keep an eye out and think spring.
Also think of taking a boating course through the Coast Guard Auxiliary, or through Boatwise, we can cover the stuff you learn during Captain Ed's Sailing classes. Stay warm think spring.
