February is finally here it is a beautiful day on February 4th with storms coming. After the storms we should be expecting our february thaws signaling that spring, and mud is on the way. Myself I can't wait to start fly fishing with Mika the Wonder Dog before the start of the sailing season.
Hopefully the weather cooperates for the Merrimack River Eagle Festival this coming Saturday February 8
Also don't forget the Opportunity Works Auction to be held on February 22.
I think that the boat shows are around that weekend as well, if you are looking for something else to do, both are great ways to break up the rest of the winter.
Sorry all of you skiers for trying to push the end of your skiing season, but you know I am just sick of winter, and I am ready for warm weather. Oh yah the Winter Olympics, this week. I hope that Sean White does well, but I am doubtful, I think he is to old now, plus he is hurting a bit.
February will be a great time to get out side and enjoy The Merrimack River Eagle Festival, or inside to catch the Boat Show or one of the sportsman shows in the area. Also don't forget the Opportunity Works Auction,
buying what ever I donate through the Opportunity Works Auction, can be an inexpensive way to get out sailing while supporting a great cause. ( don't be to cheap)
Also think of taking a boating course through the Coast Guard Auxiliary, or through Boatwise, we can cover the stuff you learn during Captain Ed's Sailing classes. Stay warm think spring.
Also if you are looking for a boat a client of mine
Paul White now has his own Yacht brokerage so check him out as well.
Paul Nguyen Photography has provided me with some great photos for my news letter over the last year so check out his site as well, and while there make sure to sign up for his News Letter. Paul travels the world for his photographs, my favorite is Hawaii in the dark.
Make sure to sign up for Captain Ed's News letter, it is a $37.23 value, but free to anyone that is interested.
For even more savings forward to a friend.
