Never to early to be thinking of sailing next Summer
The weather is getting colder and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, with the Christmas holidays soon to follow. My Element has been in the shop for over a month now, probably needs a new engine. My ladders are in it so I have not been able to get up on the boats and do the work that needs to be done. I was able to get up on the Sarah Maria to secure lines and get her ready to be shrink wrapped for the winter, this past monday when the temperature reached 65, but was not able to get up on the Bella Donna. I would like to remove the rails in order to varnish, and reseat them this spring, other than that both boats look good going into winter with plans to be re launched early next May.
Mika the Wonder Dog and I, are having fun out here at the farm, taking walks whenever we have a chance. This past Saturday we spotted the horse trailer at North Wood Meadows State park so Niel And Deb Harvey could take the horses through the woods and back to the farm. Mika, Morgan, and I hiked around the pond. It is a great little hike, not to short, however long enough to feel like you accomplished something. We carried the SPOT so you can see our trip though it only updates every ten minutes and we may have walked to fast. I tried to stop with the SPOT located on a picnic table to get a good signal. Great place for a walk.
With the Christmas holiday near I am offering some certificates for Captain Ed's Sailing, down below. Give me a call if you need a recommendation of what to buy.
If for some reason you did not have a chance to use last years gift certificates they are still good for this coming sailing season as well.
It seems that the boats are barely away and next season is right around the corner, hopefully winter goes by fast, I am sick of the cold already.
Check out the SPOT to see our trips. The best way to follow and interact with us on spot is to follow us on Facebook
I want to again thank everyone for their support of Captain Ed's Sailing if it is even just through reading my news letters.
Thanks Captain Ed's Sailing
Captain Ed's Sailing gets more popular each year, however there are always great weekends as well as weekdays available.
At the end of the day you walk away from the boat and leave the cost of owning and maintaining the boat up to me.
If you like what you see feel free to forward it to friends and family no matter where, as my clients come from around the country, as well as from around the world.
