Last Wednesday was another great day for sailing, though we had a full boat and sadly had to turn away some people. With the wind coming fro the West and few boats around this was one of the few times that we were able to sail out of the river. We sailed along the coast of Plum Island to stay out of the waves and practiced out tacks and jibes, a lot of fun with a person assigned to each spot.
I am afraid though that the end is just about here, the docks will be coming out of the water soon, as will the boats, however we do have some time, and as I am looking at the weather for this week I see that Thursday looks like the best pick, with light easterly winds, and sunny skies predicted so far.
If you are interested in sailing this coming Thursday from 10am until 3pm email or give me a call to save your space, if enough people are interested we will do it.
If anyone is interested I will also be around for the long weekend if you would like to visit hangout or work on charts, Saturday doesn't look great but Sunday as well as Monday do. If the weather looks good after the holiday we may be able to squeak out another trip as well, but I am not counting on that.
Thanks again to everyone for another successful year at Captain Ed's Sailing, whether you came out sailing, forwarded my news letters, or reposted my Facebook submissions, it all helps. Thanks to all who may have found any spelling errors, if you mention Captain Ed's Sailing at any Burger King anywhere in the country they will give you an extra catsup with your happy meal.
