        It's  August

We had some great sailing on the Bella Donna last week making trips out to the Isle of Shoals on Wednesday as well as on Sunday, when I was able to teach some weather reading and heavy weather preparation. We were able to sail in between the storms that built on land and traveled at 7knots making it home from the Isle of Shoals in just about 2 hours.

This week I have classes scheduled for Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday when the class will make an attempt to sail out to the isle of shoals if wind and weather permit.

We also have to start thinking of doing some navigation classes which includes free class room dockside or out at my mooring as we learn how to use the GPS to find latitude and longitude. I am hoping  to have the Sarah Maria Dockside this Thursday evening in order do do the navigation class if interested please let me know so that I can make plans.

We will have a sailing class next Wednesday, however on Thursday I plan on sailing the Sarah Maria to Boothbay Harbor for the Southern Cross Rendezvous, returning hopefully in time for the class on Wednesday 21.

I am getting much interest in late season sailing, and when I get back from Boothbay we will have different plans to keep every ones interest up, including evening sails and navigation classes. Drop me an email or call me at 508-451-0431 to schedule a class.

August is here and summer will be winding down shortly so now is the time to book your sailing trip.  One more thing to keep in mind, on August 11 I am planning a basic sailing trip with hopefully reaching the Isle of Shoals. I will have the details posted later, so if you are interested let me know. There are two spots available on this charter, If it fills we will do the same thing on Saturday the 10th as well.

Summer is here, and the window is short, time to plan your sailing trip whether, it is an individual class, or a Hands on Sailing Adventure for your Family.

Check out the SPOT to see our trips. The best way to follow and interact with us on spot is to follow us on Facebook
