Captain Ed's Sailing
Hurricane Irene is now over, the boats were tide up to their moorings with extra lines, and sails, signs, and dodgers were all removed on Thursday, and Friday, and double checked on Saturday. So on Monday I spent the day on the Bella Donna getting her ready for the Labor Day weekend. On Labor Day weekend the tides will be favorable for late morning till late afternoon sails and the weather looks like it is going to be beautiful. We will have basic sailing classes on each day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday I will be in Salem MA, training 2 clients who liked sailing the Bella Donna so much they bought them selves a nice 28ft O'day just like her. We have had a great time on the Bella donna this year, especially during August where I averaged trips 4 days a week. I expect that we will be sailing right through at least Columbus day, so give me a call to save your spots. He just came back from a trip to Hawaii and he has some nice new pictures to exhibit. If possible make your way to his facebook page as I did for a real treat. I read the caption on every fascinating picture . I'm not usually like that, check it out. |
Other things
Greetings!
Sailing is not for everyone, so I try to list other things that you would like to try while in the Newburyport area. This past week I met William Barrett the new owner of The EZ Pedaler located at 40R Merrimac St Newburyport MA. between Davis electric and the Newburyport chamber of commerce. He is selling as well as renting motorized bicycles. Check him out as this is something that I may want to try before the summer is over. Also don't forget Captains Fishing Parties out at the end of Plumb Island . I like the flounder fishing trips as I don't often have the time or desire to be out fishing for a full day, I also like coming home with fish.
