The jury has selected five young composers to come to Stockholm. During two sessions, they will work on (fragments of) a choral score with the Eric Ericson Kammarkör, composer/conductor James Wood, composer Hans Koolmees and conductor Fredrik Malmberg.

Nordic Music Days is a festival for new Nordic music that was founded in 1888 and had its origins in existing musical collaboration. It is one of the oldest and best respected festivals for contemporary classical music in the world. The festival is unique in the respect that it is arranged by the composers themselves. This year's festival takes place in Stockholm from 10 to 13 October, curated by Catharina Backman.
The annual meeting for professionals in the field of music will focus on the interaction of the professional choirs with amateur choirs: looking at successful examples, working on contemporary repertoire and vocal techniques with singers and conductors. The TPM will take place in the spectacular Palau de la Música Catalana, built a century ago to celebrate choral singing.
Festival van Vlaanderen / Mechelen hoort stemmen will organize editions of Tenso Days in 2013 and further. The first edition will take place on Friday 17 May and Saturday 18 May 2013. Participating:

In addition to a full concert programme, the choirs will participate in workshops and seminars. Premieres of new work from Laurent Durupt (FR), Joachim Brackx (BE) and others.
Tenso choirs Nederlands Kamerkoor and Cappella Amsterdam participate in the Meesters & Gezellen concert series under conductor Kaspars Putniņs, next week in the Netherlands. Masters & Apprentices was designed to train young professional singers in ensemble singing, coached by four experienced colleagues. The concerts are part of the festive jubileum series of the Nederlands Kamerkoor, celebrating its 75th birthday this month.
