Missionary Childhood Association
| |
Dear Parents and OLF Families,
At a recent in-service for our faculty, we listened to a presentation by the Missionary Childhood Association, formerly known as the Holy Childhood Association. The presentation centered around the work of the organization and how we can collaborate with other faith communities globally.
The work of the Missionary Childhood Association has changed lives of children around the world and is impacting local and global communities with a message of Christ's love and hope. Development work and social justice are undergoing a shift of paradigm. No longer are we called to just give to the poor and to prepare handouts.
The work that is being accomplished is a collaborative effort to resolve real life challenges. The missionary workers give time, effort and love, but in return their learn with the recipients to solve the problems together. The matter of human dignity is of utmost importance, as we value each individual the way God intended us to.
Your child has received a coin box to support the Missionary Childhood Association during Advent. Please help support this wonderful organization and their work. Click here for more info on MCA.
Blessings,
Beate Nguyen, M.A. Ed
Principal
