Dear Parents and OLF Families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the many blessings in our lives. We don't have to look very far to realize how blessed we really are! A smile on our children's faces let's us see God's endless love!
When you sit around your table of plenty, please remember to pray for those in need of our support:
- our military families and the spouses who are serving in far away places....
- our homeless and hungry brothers and sisters, who are in our midst in San Clemente
- our families and friends on the East Coast who are still without electricity and housing after hurricane Sandy...
- those in need of healing including our student Lily, Mrs. McElroy and many other OLF family members....
On behalf of the faculty and staff at OLF, we wish to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the continued trust and support you place in us each day! Whether we are placing a band-aid on a hurt knee, grading a 4 page research paper or cleaning up the "aftermath" of an exciting art class, we do so with passion and the conviction that every child at OLF is truly a gift from God!
Our school family and 21st Century Learning Community is enriched by your child and by you! Without your dedication and support, we would not be as effective in nurturing, encouraging and empowering our 205 "blessings" at OLF. Thank you!

Our OLF Ambassadors are planning the annual toy drive to help children in our community! Further details will be forthcoming right after Thanksgiving! The Giving Tree will once again be placed in the front lobby of the school office!

URGENT: Missing Ornament Frame
|
 We would like to be able to display our 2012-13 ornament when it arrives but the frame that was used to display the past years' ornaments is missing. We think someone has it with the intention of getting a new one to match it. We have several years to mount into a new frame. Please check and see if you might have the framed ornaments and let the school know. Thank you!! PLEASE HELP US FIND THIS ITEM! |

A special thank you to the 3rd grade for helping load FAM food on Tuesday and to Mrs. Sotomayor and Mrs. Bissontz for delivering the food to FAM. Congratulations to the 5th Grade class for bringing in the most food items which entitles them to free dress on Tues. Nov. 27th.

MOVIE TICKETS | |
With your yellow envelope this week is an order form for movie tickets. Movie tickets are $8 each. Orders must be in the order box in the clinic no later than November 30th. Both Krikorian and Regal theater tickets are available. |

SCHOOL ACTIVITY PHOTOS WANTED!

Please assist in submitting your pictures to Principal Nguyen and Mrs. Fries, our 6th Grade teacher. Please do not email, but put pictures on a flash drive or CD! Thank you! Many of you are taking pictures! Please submit them to our Yearbook Team!

Phone Directories
|
 Each family should have received one copy of the 2012-13 directory! If you did not, it is probably because we do not have the appropriate yellow envelope back for important and safe school communication! You may purchase an additional copy from the clinic. Carissa Tourtelot has worked endless hours to input, format and edit this year's directory. It is not a simple job. Thank you, Carissa, for all your hours of work for us!!!Several corrections will be sent home in the next yellow envelope!
