A Message from Mary SherryThe weather might not have been all that great here at the start of  2016, but the sun is shining on Holy Cross Regional Catholic School for sure! And the great news is that a devoted and dear friend of the School has made a wonderfully generous financial gift to the School not only for the purpose of upgrading equipment and supplies in the high school science lab but also for physical renovations of that same space which will take place this summer.
Our upper school science teacher, Steve Perry, has begun purchasing and installing new equipment and supplies for use in the lab and has worked hard over the last several months discussing desirable upgrades with local college professors. Needless to say, Steve is beyond excited about our benefactor's exceptional generosity as it will benefit all HCRCS students who study the physical and biological sciences.
 Our benefactor wishes to remain anonymous, but the entire HCRCS community is grateful beyond words for this exciting and energizing thoughtfulness and for the academic impact it will have on our students.

Key Club News: Please help us to make sandwiches and bag cereal after school in the cafeteria on Thursday, Feb 4. Needed supplies: loaves of 100% wheat bread; boxes/bags of healthy cereal; creamy peanut butter; jam We have decided to collect the following for the local animal shelters/humane societies: towels, blankets, clumping kitty litter, paper towels, dog/cat toys, dog/cat treats, Purina Cat Chow, Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Dog Food, and Purina Puppy Chow. Please send ALL donations down to my room, 104! We need volunteers to serve at the Lynchburg Daily Bread on Sunday, 2/7 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. They prefer students in 8th grade and up or adults to serve. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Do you have an hour to spare once a month? Once a week? Mrs. Main is looking for volunteers to help out in the library with tasks such as shelving books, organizing and such. Once you have been trained, you can come in whenever it's convenient for you when no classes are in session in the library.
