PTO NEWS 
Last year, we received $1200 from our BoxTops collection. Please continue to send in BoxTops. Helpful hint: please trim your BoxTops. It saves our volunteers lots of time!
PTO at HC is ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!
And we need your assistance in making things happen for them. The first PTO meeting will be September 8th at 6:00 P.M. in the cafeteria. There will be child care if needed. There will be a drawing every 15 minutes during the meeting for cash and prizes so you won't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!
Car Wash 
The annual soccer team car wash will be held at Holy Cross School on Saturday Sept. 12th from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm. Proceeds will go to the team's trip to Kings Dominion on Sept. 26th. Thanks for your support and Go Gaels!Art News  The Art Department would like to thank Ann Hoffman for the many donations of supplies over the past several years. Her continued support of our students and the art department is greatly appreciated.
Holy Cross Yearbooks are now for sale in the office for $45 each.
VIRTUS Training
As mandated by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, each volunteer here at the school must attend a one time VIRTUS training. You will not be able to volunteer here at the school, until you have completed the VIRTUS training class.
Please sign up today as seating is limited. Sign up at www.virtus.org. If you have completed the training, Fran Harvey will need a copy of your certificate on file, prior to volunteering.

 Keeping the Faith with Pink Out Day
HCS each year shows its support of all cancer survivors and families of victims of cancer by wearing pink shirts. This year, Pink Out Day is September 28th. Students and families can show their support with pink t-shirts at volleyball and soccer games beginning at 4:00. Please download the form below for more information.
Pink Out Day Form Holy Cross School Annual Golf Tournament  Holy Cross School will once again sponsor its annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at London Downs Golf Club. Lunch will be served beginning at noon with a shotgun start to follow at 1:00 p.m. The entrance fee is $300 per foursome and $100 to sponsor a hole. Please plan on joining us!  Join the Girl Scouts! Interested in joining the Holy Cross Girl Scout troop? Girl Scouts is for girls K-12. An interest meeting for parents will be held in the elementary library Thursday, Sept 10 @8:10 am and 3:10 pm. Can't make the meeting? Want to be a leader? Key Club News:Sign up to make sandwiches and bag cereal after school in the cafeteria on Wednesday, 9/9. Parents, teachers, and students are encouraged to help! If you are a 5th-12th grade student, then we can use your assistance! Needed supplies:
loaves of 100% wheat bread boxes/bags of healthy cereal creamy peanut butter jam/jelly Volunteers [5 or 6] are needed for the Lynchburg Daily Bread on Sunday, 10/4, from 9:00 a.m. until about 1:00 p.m. Middle school students may help, but a parent MUST volunteer with them. FREE DRESS DAY- Elementary students have been granted a "Free dress day" for our Circus Fun Day- September 11th. Students should wear shorts or pants and t-shirts, tennis shoes. Bright colors are good if you have them!
