The Spring Fling and Vendor Fair was a great event, and all who came had a blast! The food was delicious, the plants were beautiful, and children's activities were great, and shoppers found great deal at the bazaar. Thanks to all of our volunteers on Friday and Saturday who pulled it together, kept it running smoothly, and cleaned up afterward. Almost $2,000 was raised at this fun gathering.
Don't forget to keep collecting Coke and associated product caps, BoxTops, Campbell's labels, and keep shopping at Kroger and Target!

The annual induction ceremony for the National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society will be held on May 26th at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. All current members and candidates should attend.
HCS Athletic Boosters and Buffalo Wild Wings 
The Boosters raise money to purchase new uniforms and equipment for all sports teams at Holy Cross. The Boosters have also replaced the gym and field scoreboards in recent years. Please support the Boosters by coming to Buffalo Wild Wings Monday, May 18th, during business hours. The club will earn 15% of food purchases when a ticket is presented. ---Helpers are needed to make sandwiches after school on Wednesday, 5/20. We need wheat bread and healthy cereal.
---Thank you so much for the donated toiletry items. The Lynchburg Daily Bread still needs the following items: deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, razors/shaving cream, women's sanitary items, Healthy snacks for children such as packs of raisins, low salt crackers, fruit snacks, applesauce, fruit cups, etc.
---We will have our final Key Club meeting of the school year during lunch on Thursday, 5/21-in Mrs. St. Angelo's room. All rising 9th through 12th grade students are invited to attend. We will be taking care of end-of-year business as well as making plans for the next school year!
---We plan to assemble the dog toys for the local humane societies after school on Wednesday, May 27th!

BOOKS DUE TO LIBRARY- MONDAY, MAY 18TH! We must have all library books back on the shelf by tomorrow to begin the process of inventory. If a student needs a book to fulfill an assignment, he/she should see Mrs. Main in the library. During the next few weeks, students will be able to check out from our paperback collection which is not inventoried.
ACCELERATED READER- Students in grades 1-5 will have the opportunity to spend A.R. points at our end of the year store- Wednesday, June 3rd. If you have any new or like new items that would appeal to elementary students 1st-5th grade, or if you would like to contribute $5.00 gift cards to stores such as Little Dickens, Barnes & Noble, Sweet Frog or Target, contact Mrs. Main. Thanks so much!
