Studio Art Students Create Piano for "Keys to the Hill City"Our "Keys to the Hill City" piano pictured above is in place at its new home in front of Kegney Brothers in downtown Lynchburg! Unveiled Friday, May 1, it will soon be livening up the sights and sounds of Main Street. Thanks again to Mrs. Pociluyko and her Studio Arts students for their work on this project! Music is an international language, which inspired our piano's artwork. The flags represent the different countries of students attending our school over the years and focuses on the multicultural elements of our school. Thank you to the following donors to this project: Rachel Shenigo, Lowe's, Benjamin Moore, Holy Cross Regional Catholic School and Debbie Pociluyko! Middle School NewsThe Middle School Etiquette Reception was a great success. Students showed off their knowledge of their chosen countries as part of a project in Mr. Roach's class. Thank you to Rachel Shenigo, Jamie David, and Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Payne for being our "dignitaries" of the evening. Special thanks to Magnolia Foods and the Jones family, Mr. Eder, and Mrs. Fallon for supplying the students and guests with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Thank you to the parents who helped decorate for the event, Lynchburg College for letting us borrow their array of international flags, and high school students who served. The recipients of the Middle School Best Manners awards for this year went to Ashley Laneve and Jason Rony. Congratulations!
