Elementary Kite Day
It is a tradition here at Holy Cross School to celebrate the arrival of Spring with an afternoon of kite flying. This year, all elementary students will fly kites on Friday, March 27th. (rain date Monday, March 30). Students should bring in an assembled kite on that Friday. Inexpensive kites work very nicely in our gusty and unsteady wind. Your child's teacher will communicate with you about exactly what time on March 27th that your child's class will go out to fly kites. We also can use parent help for tangled strings:) Let's go fly a kite!

Inspiration Has a Name Contest:
Two of Mrs. St. Angelo's students have made it to the finalist round in the online Facebook competition, Inspiration Has a Name.  Congratulations Mikayla Burton and Alex Malkiewicz!! All students in Mrs. St. Angelo's classes chose an African American for the Black History Month contest whom they found inspirational and wrote a brief paragraph which they submitted. People were encouraged to "like" their entries on the respective Facebook page for the contest. The four entries that received the most "likes" have now moved on to the final round in the competition, so we need EVERYONE who uses Facebook to click on the links for the entries and then LIKE them. You must "like" the picture for the vote to count. We also encourage you to share the links. The person whose entry receives the most "likes" will win an iPad Mini, and the second place winner receives a $50 gift card to a local business.  Here are the links:
