A Message from Our Principal, Patti Culbreth

"For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord." (Luke 2:11)

Rejoice and be glad!  As we celebrate the Advent season, I wish you and yours a very blessed Christmas and a New Year filled with joy.  Holy Cross School is a wonderful place because of our talented teachers and staff and the dedicated families who send us their incredible children.  Many thanks to all of you.  I wish you a holiday break filled with rest, relaxation and plenty of family time.

May God grant you His many blessings.

Holy Cross/Barnes & Noble Book Fair

continues through Thurs. Dec. 18th

Thanks to all of our staff, students, families and friends who came out to the fair on Saturday to shop and sing with us! We had a great time! You may continue to shop Barnes & Noble through Thursday to help Holy Cross School. At the Lynchburg store, tell them you are with the Holy Cross book fair. If online/ elsewhere use bookfair ID#11473931. Don't forget that purchases in the café apply to our sales as does all merchandise. (Not purchase of gift cards)Thanks so much for your support

Christmas Wish List of Books- 2014 (Final Week)

Are you looking for a meaningful teacher gift that keeps on giving? Would you like to honor the memory of a loved one? Donate a book to the library in someone's honor or memory. This is the final week to select a title from our wish tree and return the ornament and $ to honor a teacher or loved one. You do not have to buy the book. We will order them from a library bound company. If you do not have time to come in and select a book, but would like to participate, contact Mrs. Main and I can help you out: hmain@hcfaculty.com The teacher/individual you are honoring will be notified of this wonderful gift before Christmas and a bookplate will be placed in the books with names of donors and honorees. Thanks for considering this program and I wish you a blessed Christmas season. Mrs. Main

Attention Seniors and Parents of Seniors:

It is time to think about graduation and all that comes with it.  The holiday break is a good time to look through pictures and select the ones you want for the traditional slide presentation at the Senior mass and for yearbook ads.  Look for the ad form beginning in January!

Saturday Morning League is back!  Your child can learn basic basketball skills and improve on what they already know.  Parent involvement is encouraged!  Bring your neighbor's kids and your cousins.  First session is December 14 from 9 - 11 A.M. Click on Flyer to see details:  SML Flyer

CHRISTMAS TREES, WREATHS AND RUNNERS

The Seabolt family (a former HCRS family) is selling Christmas trees, wreaths and runners on the front lawn of the school. Trees are priced up to $30.  For each tree sold, the school gets a portion of the sale.  The tree lot will be open from 11-7 on weekends and 3:30-7 on weekdays.

COME OUT AND BUY YOUR BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREE AT HCRS!
