Christmas Program December 10th

Our Christmas music program, "Christmas Around the World" will take place on Wednesday, December 10th at 6:30pm. Come and celebrate the Christmas season by listening to Christmas music from all around the world and learn about how other countries celebrate the birth of Jesus! We will be featuring the elementary students, middle school choir, band and keyboard students, elementary strings, and the middle school orchestra. Bring the family and stay to enjoy a brief reception following the program.

Sports Pictures are on Wednesday, December 10 after school.  Athletes should get forms for Mr. Mitchell as orders must be prepaid.

Auditions for Wizard of Oz

Students in grades 3-8 who are interested in joining the cast of the Wizard of Oz should sign up with Mrs. Shenigo.  Auditions will be held on Sunday December 14.  Students should prepare a short song, if they wish to have any type of solo part.    If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Shenigo.  Performance dates are May 22-23 at Lynchburg College.

Key Club News:
Plan to stop by to help us make more Christmas cards for service men and women after school on Monday, December 8th. Our next day of sandwich making is after school on Wednesday, December 10th, and we could use loaves of 100% whole wheat bread and boxes/bags of healthy cereal. Also, our supply of peanut butter is getting really low. Please consider sending in a few supplies or a cash donation to help defray the cost.
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of the hungry in our community by sharing your time? We need servers at the Lynchburg Daily Bread on Sunday, December 21st from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Middle school students may help, but a parent MUST volunteer with them.
Thank you to everyone who helped to ring the bell for the Salvation Army on Saturday, November 29th!  We helped raise $372.54 for the needy in our area!! Go Gaels!!!
Please send me an email if you can assist with any of these projects. Thanks so much for your help!!

Christmas Wish List of Books- 2014

Are you looking for a meaningful teacher gift that keeps on giving? Would you like to honor the memory of a loved one? Donate a book to the library in someone's honor or memory. Each Christmas, we add about 30-50 books to the library through this program!

Visit the display in the front lobby and pick an ornament from the wall with a book title. Fill out the back and return the ornament with the $ and we will order the book. Some of the books could be purchased from Barnes and Noble during our fair. There will be a B & N on those titles. If you do not have time to come in and select a book, but would like to participate, contact Mrs. Main and I can help you out: [email protected] The teacher/individual you are honoring will be notified of this wonderful gift before Christmas and a bookplate will be placed in the books with names of donors and honorees. Thanks for considering this program and I wish you a blessed Christmas season. Mrs. Main
