UPCOMING BOOK EVENTS

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR: Mark your calendars for the Scholastic Fall Book Fair coming in November! The fair will begin on Friday, November 7th and will end on Wednesday, November 12th. Holy Cross School will profit 25% of the fairs' sales and it's a fun time for the kids and helpers as well. If you think you would like to volunteer at the fair, contact me at hmain@hcfaculty.com or 237-2420. More about the fair later.

BARNES AND NOBLE BOOK FAIR:

We will have our annual "Barnes and Noble Book Fair" on Saturday, December 13th. On that day, and for 5 days after, Holy Cross will earn a percentage of the sales from our students, family, friends, etc. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for much more to come!! What a great way to stock up on Christmas gifts and help the school at the same time!

Key Club News:

--We will be making sandwiches after school on Wednesday, September 24th. Please plan to join us and/or send in supplies. [Loaves of 100% wheat bread are needed at this time!]  We also collect bags/boxes of healthy cereal-such as, Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Raisin Bran, etc. -to be individually bagged for breakfast and/or snacks for the children who visit the Lynchburg Daily Bread. Other items that have been requested are individual apple sauces, fruit cans, fruit snacks, granola bars, and other snack items for the children.

--Calling ALL bakers! We plan to have a bake sale during both lunches and during the games on Monday, September 29th.  Also, if you would like to help sell baked goods and 50/50 raffle tickets during one of the games on Monday, September 29th, please let me know.  All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research.

-- We also need volunteers to serve at the Lynchburg Daily Bread, on Sunday, October 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Middle School students may help, but a parent MUST volunteer with them. This is a wonderful way to earn service hours while helping the needy in our community.

---Please consider doing what you can.  Thanks so much!!!

Vendors Needed
The PTO would like to invite you to join us as a vendor this year for the annual "Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Bazaar" scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2014.  The Christmas Bazaar runs from 8 am - 1 pm and is held in the gym.  We only allow a limited number of vendors to attend and we only allow one vendor per company to be represented, so please return your vendor application to the front office, along with your $30 payment, to reserve your spot a.s.a.p.!  All spots are guaranteed on a first come, first serve basis.  Links to our welcome letter and vendor form are below and also available on the table in the lobby.  If you have questions or want to find out which companies are already being represented, please email PTO@hcfaculty.com or talk to Natalie Wesley.
