Holy Cross Regional Catholic School is bringing national award-winning children's author and parenting expert Julia Cook back to Lynchburg on Tuesday, March 4. She will speak to the elementary students and perform an in-service for our teachers during the day. That night, at 7 p.m., Holy Cross School joins Amazement Square and Given's Books & Little Dickens in hosting a public event with Julia Cook at the Amazement Square Warehouse, next to the Museum at 27 Ninth Street.

At the evening event, Cook will speak on
Books That Make  A Positive Difference!
Bibliotherapy in Actionan entertaining discussion on the use of her storybooks to offer children and adults a fun way to learn important problem-solving and people skills.  She will talk about tackling problems such as tattling, interrupting, personal safety, risk taking, peer pressure, bullying and even nose picking through active learning. Parents and educators can w
alk away with ideas that they can really use!  The event is free and open to the public.  Our students will serve as ushers.  Please feel free to invite your friends and contacts as this is a great way to also highlight Holy Cross School!  Do know that seating will be limited.
